Dr. Woods is a brand rooted in a commitment to family, community, and doing what’s right, first conceived by Van Woods, son of Sylvia Woods, founder of the famous Sylvia’s Restaurant in New York City, and business partner Gary Greenhouse. Our goal is to create products that are truly "All Things Good". We pledge to share products that we'd use for our own family, working hard to use only the best natural ingredients and supporting free-trade and sustainably-produced items. Our ingredients and products are cruelty-free and our vegan soaps are free from petroleum, detergents, sulfates, parabens, and phthalates.

Dr. Woods is dedicated to giving back to communities and young people in need, and we support several organizations. Our vision was to produce high-quality skin care products sourced worldwide but made in the United States. Our raw black soap uses plantain skins, while our shea butter is indigenous to West Africa and comes from the African Savannah. We offer various products, including Black Soap, Liquid Castile Soaps, Bar Soaps, Face Cleansers & Pumps, Travel Size items, all made in the United States.

All of our liquid soaps are gluten-free and we promise that we and our suppliers never conduct or commission animal testing. Our vegan Liquid Castile Soaps are gentle and moisturizing due to a natural blend of olive, hemp, and coconut oil. We also offer Liquid Castile Soaps with added fair-trade raw shea butter. Our ingredients are ethically sourced and cruelty-free.
